Featuring three nine-hole tracks designed by Jack Nicklaus, every tee shot requires a carry, to some degree, over dry gulches and desert vegetation. You play through craggy, granite-ridden arroyos and outcroppings that wind down into the Tucson valley. With half the turf grass of a traditional course, the desert is in play at La Paloma. Indigenous wildlife - roadrunners, quail, ground squirrels and an occasional coyote or gila monster - thrives throughout this desert golf course.
